Showgirls survivor Elizabeth Berkley starred in her very own big-budget production this weekend: her nuptials.
|
She and fianc Greg Lauren, nephew of Ralph tied the knot in the seaside Mexican town of Cabo San Lucas before family and friends on Saturday, with the ceremony taking place at the Esperanza Hotel.
It goes without saying uncle Ralph designed the bride's dress: a silk sheath with pearled spaghetti-straps, while Greg wore a white tuxedo jacket and black bow tie, according to Extra.
The camera-ready couple met three years ago at a dance class and have been together ever since. It's the first marriage for both.
Berkley, 31, was previously linked to fellow thesp Roger Wilson, who sued Leonardo DiCaprio (news) following a scuffle that stemmed from the Titanic star's phone calls to Berkley while she was still with Wilson.
Berkley is best known for her trashy role in 1995's camp classic Showgirls, which eclipsed her less-than-polished breakout role in Saved by the Bell. Since then, she's been relegated to small parts in such films as The First Wives Club, Any Given Sunday and Curse of the Jade Scorpion. She's currently in rehearsals for her Broadway debut, a revival of the comedy Sly Fox starring Richard Dreyfuss (news). The curtain goes up April 1.
As an actor, Lauren has had minor roles in 1997's Boogie Nights and 2001's The Wedding Planner. But the 33-year-old is more successful as a painter, commanding up to $15,000 for his nudes that sell to Rene Zellweger, Demi Moore (news), Ben Stiller (news), Cuba Gooding (news) Jr. and uncle Ralph.
It should come as little surprise to learn that Berkley is his number one muse.
