Men Like To Impress
A British study suggests men are more interested in impressing dinner party guests than women. Not only are men more keen on impressing guests they are willing to spend more than $300 on a dinner for six, the London Telegraph reports. "The desire to cook for friends at home is compared in the report to our earliest ancestors who hunted, gathered and shared food together," says study author David Warburton, professor of psychology at the University of Reading, England. No amount of exotic recipes pitched by celebrity chefs seem to persuade people away from more traditional food. The report finds 35 percent prefer to serve meat and two vegetables.
