LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Actress Keira Knightley, who played the radiant Elizabeth Swann in "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl," is thinking about disguising her beauty.
The British lass may star as a girl who masquerades as a boy in the American Civil War film "Soldier Girl," for writer/director Catherine Hardwicke, according to website Teletext. The story centers on the true story of one of the many women who disguised themselves as men to fight in the devastating war between brothers. "Keira read it," says Hardwicke, "and we're hoping she'll appear if she finishes all her other projects." The director's optimism may be in vain. Ever since Knightley's turn as the corseted Swann in Disney's swashbuckling blockbuster, the 18-year-old actress has been in high demand. She is currently filming "King Arthur" opposite Clive Owen in Ireland. After that, she will star with Jude Law in "Tulip Fever" and then with Adrien Brody in "The Jacket." She is also committed to reprise her role in the recently announced "Pirates" sequel. Hardwicke, director of the critically acclaimed "Thirteen," is seeking financing for another project, "Bulldog Dance," which she describes as "'Deliverance' but with girls." Knightley will next appear in the British ensemble comedy "Love Actually," scheduled for limited release on Nov. 7, and expanding in the following weeks. ________________________________ Changes to your subscription (unsubs, nomail, digest) can be made by going to http://sandboxmail.net/mailman/listinfo/sndbox_sandboxmail.net
