— When Olia Wall pulled her dessert recipe from the oven, the culinary experts were overwhelmed.
The fact that
the dish came straight out of the 9-year-old's Easy-Bake Oven made it all that
much sweeter.
Wall, of Chapel Hill, N.C., whipped up her "Marshmallow Cloud on a Heart"
recipe for judges at the Four Seasons Hotel in New York and was named Hasbro's
Easy-Bake 2003 Baker of the Year in a national contest last week. She won a
$5,000 savings bond.
Here is her recipe (Easy-Bake Oven and mixes required): Ingredients
• 1 Easy-Bake Butterscotch Chip Cookie Mix Instructions
1. Mix cookie and brownie mixes according to directions.
• 1 Easy-Bake blonde brownie
mix
• 3 large marshmallows
• Crushed peanut chocolate candies
(M&M's)
2.
Mix together in bowl and add 1 marshmallow (tear marshmallow into small
pieces)
3. Place in greased round pan and bake for 15 minutes
4. Allow to cool and remove from pan.
5. Create into heart
shape.
6. Melt 2 marshmallows in Easy-Bake warming tray, when soft and
gooey, place on cookie heart.
7. Sprinkle with crushed peanut
chocolate candies.
