The show, a modern-day "Romeo & Juliet" parable, averaged less than 6 million viewers - despite heavy promotion during Fox's post-season baseball coverage.
In the show, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer ("CSI"), Ron Silver played a porn magnate who's daughter (played by Olivia Wilde) falls in love with the son of an ambitious district attorney (Kevin Anderson).
To fill the hole left by the departure of "Skin," Fox network will double-run original episodes of "Joe Millionaire 2" on Nov. 10 and 17, leading into the show's two-hour finale (Nov. 24).
On Thursdays, Fox will air encore episodes of its hit series "The O.C." Nov. 6, 13 and 20 (9-10 p.m.) following "Tru Calling," starring Eliza Dushku as a medical student with eerie powers.
Other shows cancelled thus far include "Coupling" (NBC), "The Brotherhood of Poland, N.H." (CBS) and "Luis" (Fox), while Rob Lowe's NBC drama, "The Lyon's Den" is "on hiatus."
CBS is also getting ready to can "Becker," according to Variety.
