But your assumeing he had permission, even parents that watch their kids....the kids can sneak off. They do it all the time....and the article didn't specify.....so? lol :P

which brings up another point    most parents know exactly where their 8 yr old second grader is playing at.  if those dirt hills are that close to the road then why should the kid be punished for playing somewhere they knew he was at and gave permission to be at?

its like the skateboard sceneiro you tell your child you can skateboard on the sidewalk  she does hits a bump falls the skateboard flies up and hits a car.  yes youd pay the damage but are you really gonna punish her for the accident?
