Charles is the one that brought up helmets. You are entitled to your opinion as much as I am. You might find it ridiculous to fine an 8 y/o, I see it as him learning a lesson so that next time he might be more careful when he's out jumping sand hills on his bike and watch out for traffic and possibly save his life.
it was probably just a disgruntled cop desperate to make his quota anyway. It is utterly ridiculous to give an 8 yr old child a ticke. PERIOD. The cop should have done what they USED to do, take the kid home and tell his parents what happened.
