Going somewhere else it might help, but I know it wouldn't help for Dollar General. We're a mile off the main road, I know they don't come down this road. And by the time I would catch it at the highway I'm looking at Dollar General. lol

When you get to the main road, you just cross the road and your in the shopping center parking lot. lol I may check, but fairly certain they don't come anywhere close to where we are. In all the years we've lived here, never seen a bus anywhere close. lol

You should check into it though, see if it comes near you or not. If it does, you could always ride it.

How far on the outskirts of town? Like I said, I'm the same way, and I wound up measuring it this morning....the bus stop is 1/4 mile from my house, of course then I have to ride on it for about 20 minutes then switch busses and ride for another 30 minutes, and the mall is only 15 minutes from the house in my car. But oh well. Anyway, as I was asking how close to you does it come?

Yes, there are city buses. BUT I'm on the outskirts of town now, so too far out. :(

Good luck Greg!!! I know you'll get it. How could they not hire someone as great as you. In fact if they don't hire you, I'll call them and chew them out telling them what a huge mistake they are making. Do you all not have a bus that runs there? I have to walk about 1/2 a mile to the bus stop (maybe not quite that) but I can ride a bus up to 20 miles away from here....It will be $2.25 for me to get to work though, so I'm hoping I don't have to ride it much this week.

Cross your fingers guys, I may have a job! Angela, maybe your good luck rubbed off on me. lol

Still technically employed, but can't hardly deliver pizzas without a running car. There is a shopping center that is only a mile from us, close enough that if the car won't get me there I can walk if I have to. Hopefully as bad as the car is, it might get me that far and back. It'll be interesting at any rate, seeing as the Church is only 2.3 miles from our front door and the last time I tried to get it there didn't  know if I would make it there, much less home. So may wind up walking, but at least I'm close enough to get there.

There's a Dollar General, a video store, a Bible book store and a  pizza place in the shopping center. No one seemed to be hiring but Dollar General, and it looks like I may have that one. She told me it took about a week, but if everything come back ok I had it. So hopefully in a week I'll have a job. :)

The bad thing is, it's  not very many hours. She did say with Christmas coming that might change, and that they had a high enough turn over it could turn into full time. Of course anything is better than nothing, so cross your fingers guys....we need it.
