Save the Last Dance was about a teenage girl that went to a good school and was in ballet. As her mom was on the way to see her daughters recital she was in a car accident and died, leaving little Julia to go live with her dad in another town and attend a predominately black school where she meets a black guy that she winds up falling in love with. He teaches her how to do some more modern dance so she can get into Julliard and he wants to be a doctor. Of course stuff happens that splits them up and then he saves her audition at Julliard by showing up and letting her see him.
