yeah but I was lazy. I
thought it was too much work and never even bothered trying. I *wish* I had a
friend who nursed back then to help me or at least to get me to try. No one in
my family ever BF'd, so I had the idea that it was too hard and too much work,
blah, blah...
It wasn't. Plus on top
of that and probably the most important reasons..all my kids had formula
allergies. My oldest (the preemie) was allergic to cow's milk and had to drink
soy. My next child..I actually started pumping at 3 weeks post partum because we
were on our 4th formula and she was allergic to everything. Then my third child
got THE worst eczema at 2 months old. he had it from head to toe and was
completely miserable. I could have avoided a lot of aggravation and probably the
eczema if I had just given them my milk. It's very rare that a baby is ever
allergic to it's own mother's milk.
Anyway, it's mostly
the latter reasons that I feel like a loser.

But
see, that's the thing. There is no reason to feel like a loser of a mother.
Just b/c you didn't do it with three of them doesn't mean it was the wrong
thing to do.
Yep, same here. I
am more apt to try and help convince someone to at least try though. I can't
make anyone feel bad though as I didn't nurse 3 of my kids. I feel like a
loser mother for that though. But it's over and done with.

You don't have to convince me. I am all for breast feeding. But at
the same time it's not for all women. It's their own decision and I've
never been one for trying to tell women how they should feed their kids. I
say what I did or give my opinion, but if they don't want to do it, it's
their choice. KWIM?
yeah because
she worked. My friend worked through both her kids nursing. But she
nursed while she was home and they got a bottle while she at work or
away. It can be done if you want.
Sometimes it's
a bit more work but worth it.

It was always a hassle for my mom, besides working and trying
to pump and constantly having her breasts leak and then my brother
wanting to breast feed every half hour, it was a major hassle. Once
she started him on the bottle and cerreal no more hassle, not to
mention other people could feed him (mainly me) w/o her having to
pump.
<My mother also wound up bottle
feeding, because of the hassle. lol Not to mention it can be
inconvienant at times if your out in public, no problem with
formula. :)>
What
hassle? The milk is ready to go at all times. No hassle with keeping
it refrigerated. No hassle with trying to find a place to warm it
up. No hassle with having to wash anything out when you are done. I
nursed at the mall, at the park, at the pool. Even in the grocery
store once. Most times people never knew.

I watched my mother
try to breast feed my brother, from the pumps to the wet shirts
when it leaked to you name it...when we bottle fed Nicole and had
none of that to deal with it was just as easy thanks. lol

Yep,
my stores just switched it around that way last year. Formula is
expensive and more hassle. I FF'd my oldest 3 kids. I nursed my
youngest for 18 months. Boy do I wish I had smartened up 3 kids
before her. Breastfeeding was so easy and convenient and I loved
it.

But expensive!! It is very high cost...I know
in some stores they have it upfront like the cigarettes
so that it doesn't get shoplifted.

===== I
wanted a perfect ending... Now, I've learned, the hard way,
that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a
clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing,
having to change, taking the moment, and making the best of
it, without knowing what's going to happen next. Delicious
ambiguity. --Gilda
