I was...but it was a
joke. I have been called crunchy before because I BF'd and cloth
diapered.
But crunchy to me, is
the chicks on the AP boards and they almost all wear birks.

Please tell me you weren't talking about
Birkenstocks?
I don't know too
many people IRL, except all of my family, who used cloth. My kids never had
a pimple or any diaper rash however.
I won't get into
the chems in paper dipes..LOL
Oh and I made my
own cloth wipes too.
But Bfing and
cloth is as crunchy as I got. I don't co-sleep nor wear burks. I also shave
and bathe.

We started with cloth, I was
determined they were just as good. lol We did however buy Huggies when we
made trips home to Arkansas, we were in Louisiana at the
time.
Well put it this way, didn't
take too many trips home to get spoiled to the Huggies. We quickly ditched
the cloth. ROFL

Ditto, Mom quit for
precisely those reasons. That and my brother never would breast feed
really well......
The differences between
that and formula to me is like the difference between cloth diapers
and Huggies. lol Give me the Huggies, we tried cloth. lol

It was always a hassle for my mom, besides working and trying
to pump and constantly having her breasts leak and then my brother
wanting to breast feed every half hour, it was a major hassle. Once
she started him on the bottle and cerreal no more hassle, not to
mention other people could feed him (mainly me) w/o her having to
pump.
<My mother also
wound up bottle feeding, because of the hassle. lol Not to mention
it can be inconvienant at times if your out in public, no problem
with formula. :)>
What
hassle? The milk is ready to go at all times. No hassle with
keeping it refrigerated. No hassle with trying to find a place to
warm it up. No hassle with having to wash anything out when you
are done. I nursed at the mall, at the park, at the pool. Even in
the grocery store once. Most times people never knew.

I watched my mother
try to breast feed my brother, from the pumps to the wet shirts
when it leaked to you name it...when we bottle fed Nicole and
had none of that to deal with it was just as easy thanks. lol

Yep,
my stores just switched it around that way last year. Formula
is expensive and more hassle. I FF'd my oldest 3 kids. I
nursed my youngest for 18 months. Boy do I wish I had
smartened up 3 kids before her. Breastfeeding was so easy and
convenient and I loved it.

But expensive!! It is very high cost...I know
in some stores they have it upfront like the cigarettes
so that it doesn't get shoplifted.

===== I
wanted a perfect ending... Now, I've learned, the hard way,
that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a
clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing,
having to change, taking the moment, and making the best of
it, without knowing what's going to happen next. Delicious
ambiguity. --Gilda
