Stephen King Defends Popular
I just don't see the point in even having a "banned
list". I mean yeah completely disagree with their opinions and views, but
isn't that part of what is so great about America is being able to have
those different views. I don't agree with half of what any of the starts
said, but if I started adding them to a list of stars I would never
watch/read/listen to again, I'd have no form of entertainment. Even though I
didn't agree at all with what the Dixie Chicks said or how they went about it, I still listen to
them. I'm not going to quit buying a cd if it sounds good. Same goes for
Steven King, if the book is good, I won't stop buying his books. And on
the upside while I'm still working at the bookstore, I'm able to "check out"
books like at a library so I can bring it home and read it and if
I like it, I can buy it, if I don't , I'll take it back. And for the
record, King's newest book, Wolves of the Calla is like #2 or 3 on the
Best Sellers list right now.

Oh it was this
year..an anti war statement. I was quite distraught over having to add him
to my banned list.

I have read everything by King. he is a
favorite. Though, I haven't bought a book since he made his derogatory
remarks to president Bush.
When did he
do that, and what did he say?
