LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - John Corbett is checking back into broadcast TV
after two well-regarded stints on cable series.

Corbett has signed on to an untitled ABC pilot set in a luxury hotel in the
Bahamas, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He'll play the hotel's
manager.

Michael Rispoli ("The Sopranos"), Laura Jordan, Jenny Wade and Sara Ramirez
("As the World Turns") have also joined the cast.

The drama, from writer-producer Armyan Bernstein ("The Hurricane"), was
originally developed during last spring's pilot season. ABC passed on it for
fall but kept it alive for future consideration.

The show will focus on the interaction between guests and the hotel's staff.
Rispoli, who has a recurring role on ABC's "10-8," will play the property's
head of security, with Wade as Corbett's assistant manager and Ramirez a
housekeeper.

Corbett's last broadcast-network series was "The Visitor," a short-lived FOX
sci-fi show in 1997. He's since gone on to critically praised roles on HBO's
"Sex and the City" and FX's "Lucky." His acting career took off on "Northern
Exposure," where he earned an Emmy nomination in 1992 for playing
philosophical DJ Chris Stevens.
