Ozzy Osbourne: 'I was abused as a
child'
LONDON -- Fifty-four-year-old rocker Ozzy Osbourne said he was sexually assaulted repeatedly en route from school in Birmingham, England, when he was 11 years old. "The boys used to wait for me to come home after school," he told the the London Sun. "Then they would mess around with me. They would force me to drop my pants. They felt me and touched me and it was terrible." The former Black Sabbath singer said the secret haunted him for years. He said he had only recently come to terms with the sexual abuse following his wife Sharon's battle with cancer. "The first time it happened was in front of my sister and that affected me even more," he said. "I was afraid to tell my father or mother and it completely screwed me up." Osbourne said 40 years ago, people did not talk about abuse publicly or even privately. "When I was a kid, people didn't talk about these things like they do now," Osbourne said. "I worked it out with a therapist. Sharon knows all about it and it was only with her that I could finally relax and be myself."
