I think you overestimate her
popularity. I think she has the impression of popularity because the major
networks adore her so she gets positive press. Many of the dems in the
senate are said to hold her in barely disguised contempt. Many of the dem
leaders in NY have been actively urging someone to run against her. If she
were so well liked it would seem that they wouldn't be working to get someone to
run against an incumbent.

I have already said that I think that she is making a mistake.
I would disagree with you on her re-election... She is already
a very influential member of congress...
