LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - The third season of "The Chris Isaak Show" will be its last.
Showtime says the series, starring crooner Isaak and his band as (versions of) themselves, will return Thursday, Jan. 8 for a last 13-episode run. Isaak is quitting the show to pay more attention to his day job. "Chris is a fantastic talent, and we wish we could convince him to keep doing the series, but we understand his desire to focus more on his music and other things in his life," says Robert Greenblatt, Showtime's president of entertainment. "At least we were able to get him to share his witty sense of humor and wonderful musical abilities with us for three highly entertaining seasons." As with the previous seasons, the show will follow the lives of Isaak, members of his band, Silvertone, and manager Yola (Kristin Dattilo) as they work through the little crises of life in the music business. Isaak will also make his directorial debut this season with an episode scheduled for Jan. 29 in which he decides to renovate his house by adding a steam room. The show has managed to attract a number of high-profile guest stars throughout its life, among them Minnie Driver, John Corbett, Paul Stanley, Joe Walsh, Shelby Lynne and the Goo Goo Dolls. Early episodes of the coming season feature ex-Poison singer Bret Michaels, Michelle Branch, Brian McKnight and Oakland A's pitcher Barry Zito. _______________________________________________ Sndbox mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://a8.mewebdns-a8.com/mailman/listinfo/sndbox_sandboxmail.net
