Mike Meyers’ smash hit doesn’t come without a price. The cat costume weighs three pounds and the make up takes a good 2-1/2 hours. The suit is made of human hair and angora and nose is foam latex which is glued to his face. You can believe it’s hot inside that furry suit – so they have specially built cooling units built in. And for the outdoor scenes, they have a portable air conditioner that connects a hose to the suit to keep Meyers from over-heating. And here’s a big secret – the tail and ears are battery operated.
