#7 Justin Timberlake

Proving that you don't need a boy band behind you or Britney Spears at your side to be successful, Justin Timberlake launched a huge solo career and became part of one of the most-talked-about romances in Hollywood this year. The former 'N Sync front man went solo with "Justified," which debuted to critical and chart-topping success. Long split with Britney, Timberlake's romantic interest this year has been Hollywood's hottest and highest-paid actress, the much-older Cameron Diaz. The May-December romance hasn't hurt Timberlake's popularity one bit. This year he was the cover boy three times for Rolling Stone, which dubbed him the new "King of Pop." He also graced the covers of everything from Details to Teen People, Entertainment Weekly, and Seventeen. Timberlake won three MTV Video Awards and three MTV Europe awards, and managed to look merely amused when his ex, Britney, kissed Madonna onstage during the ceremony.
