Australian Town's Lone Bar Closes

The only bar in Australia's hottest town has closed, leaving residents facing a 250-mile drive in 100 degrees F heat for a cold beer. The century-old Ironclad Hotel, with the only bar in Marble Bar, a town that routinely sees a very hot summer, has closed. The owner's temporary manager apparently quit after a dispute, the Daily Telegraph reports. "The temporary manager decided that he did not wish to continue to manage the premises and basically he closed the doors and ceased operating," according to Peter Minchin, of the Western Australia's Department of Gaming, Racing.
