If you eat more calories than you expend, you’ll store the excess as fat. Fat has more than double the calories per gram as protein or carbohydrate. Balance your diet and eat according to your needs. Fitness If you’ve never used a weight belt don’t, repeat, don’t start. Weight lifting belts undermine the development of your stabilizing abdominal, oblique and lower back muscles. They also create high internal pressures. Your body will get used to relying on the belt and your core muscles will not be prepared for the heavy work it might encounter in real life. Remember, Superman never wore a weight belt!
