I use Fprot for scanning. It does not seem to catch any thing that has been zipped. . I don't want to ban zip files. Is there any way to have declude and or any scanner unzip and catch ziped up viruses???
It actually is scanning .ZIP files. The issue is that Bagle.J sometimes spreads in dynamic encrypted .ZIP files, which are impossible for AV programs to accurately detect. What you can do is upgrade to the latest interim release of Declude Virus at http://www.declude.com/interim (if you are covered by a Service Agreement), and add a line "BANEXT EZIP" to your virus.cfg file. This will block all encrypted .ZIP files, which is necessary to be protected from viruses.
