Hi Mark,

You can use SNMP4J-SMI to parse and format OIDs. I have put together some info
on how to use it on the following FAQ page:
https://oosnmp.net/confluence/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=5799973

You can find the API docs at:
http://www.snmp4j.org/smi/doc/

Hope this helps.

Best regards,
Frank

Is there an easy way to covert a dotted OID representation to the equivalent
text mib name? For example, let's say I have 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1. I'd like to
convert that to the MIB text representation which would be sysDescr.

I've used Net-SNMP in the past, and, that has an snmptranslate tool - this is
my first time using SNMP4J and I'd like to find the equivalent conversion
capability.

Did I miss something in the documentation?

Thanks for the help, I appreciate it.

Mark
