Hi all!
[Background : Axis is a new open-source Java SOAP engine from Apache] Just a quick note to let you know that the next "official" release of Axis, alpha 2, is now available from http://xml.apache.org/axis/ in both source-only and binary forms. The big news: this release adds limited WSDL functionality to Axis, including the ability to automatically generate browser-accessible WSDL for deployed services on the fly, and a Wsdl2java utility for building Java stubs and/or skeletons for services described by WSDL documents. There have also been a number of bug fixes and new features, including log4j integration for debugging/logging, support for in/out and out parameters, and a preliminary EJB provider for exposing stateless session beans as Web Services. Please try it out if you have a chance, and let the team know what you think. Thanks! Namaste, --Glen
