You need to register a deserializer for ArrayOf_xsd_string, something
like
SOAPMappingRegistry smr = new SOAPMappingRegistry();
ArraySerializer arraySer = new ArraySerializer();
smr.mapTypes(Constants.NS_URI_SOAP_ENC,
new QName("urn:mbws", "ArrayOf_xsd_string"),
String[].class, arraySer, arraySer);
call.setSOAPMappingRegistry(smr);
