GLUE uses JSSE, and leverages its support for all the
usual SSL stuff such as client certificates, keystores, etc.

Thanks graham, sounds interesting. I currently just use glue for WSDL
generation.
Could you sketch in a few more details about how glue would deal with SOAP
clients and SSL Client Certs?

Does/will it use JSSE reference impl or its own security provider?

Will it use keystores/trustores?

How will it implement SSL Server Certs? Surely that is the responsilblity of
the web server itself?

Thanks,
Adam

FYI

GLUE beta 3.1, due out very soon, will include both client-side
and server-side authentication and SSL, making it trivial to create
authorized web services, with support for realms, roles and principals.

it can also publish session beans as web services with a
single line of code, including dynamic WSDL generation.

cheers,
graham

Yes, i agree it is a good tool. But a good deal more expensive!
I get similar functionality (but without a nice Swing gui front end) using
ApacheSoap2.2, Glue and Weblogic6.
It does have some nice security features (currently a bit of a gaping hole
in Web Services i think), but with SSL +Client Cert Auth on say Apache with
Mod_SSL/Tomcat using JSSE you can do some useful things too.

Guys,

Has anyone tried downloading the Cape Connect product from CapeClear
software. Pretty interesting implementation of Soap over Http. Good user
interface and wsdl generation. It took me 1/2 a day to install and run
through most the examples. They even suppied visual basic sample code as
well as vbscript and perl.

I have formed an opinion of it already as you can clearly see ... has anyone
else played with it, or heard things about it.
