Title: [newbie] how to consume my webservice?
Jeff, hi!

That's not necessary -- you could distribute a proxy with your web service, however, the clients in most cases will integrate your webservice into their application by generating the required proxies code based on the WSDL -- .NET does, AXIS has got a code generator for this, and IDE's like IBM WSAD and so on have similar tools. (and then, of course, without such tools someone can figure out the calls just by looking at the WSDL -- or maybe I am too much of a said person to be able to do such things :) lol)

Subject: [newbie] how to consume my webservice?

hi all,

newbie here...suppose I've deployed my webservice SimpleService...how do clients consume it?  the examples in soap-2_3_1 all use a java class to consume, but it doesn't seem practical to have to create a java class and distribute to all my clients?  shouldn't they be able to send a soap request via http post?

thanks,
Jeff
