I believe that Apache SOAP 2.3.1 was released in the infancy of Tomcat 4.0, at least before 4.0.6, and apparently there was too little use of Tomcat 4 at the time to lead anyone to write installation instructions for it. >>>> something but not for the current tomcat 5. and apparently since tomcat 4 the installation is different... i followed both installation guides - the one that comes with the soap tar and the one i found here: http://cvs.apache.org/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/ws-soap/java/docs/install/tomcat.html?rev=HEAD&content-type=text/html which is for tomcat 4. <<<< I updated the instructions in CVS for Tomcat 4. I will now install on Tomcat 5 and write instructions for that. I will let you know when I am done.
