Use the yellow Sullivan cable housing. I bend a stick pin to go through the control horn and slide the sharp end into the yellow cable, then the carbon goes in the other way. Cut the tube about 3/4" long. A couple of drops of thin CA will wick into the tupe. Be careful the CA doesn't run down the rod and bond to the fuse! The carbon rods I use are .30.
