Hi,
I always break wings if the finger peg is too far
back.  In a hurry to get it in the air (in the middle
of a contest) and you step in a hole right before
release. . .  The trailing edge of the wing comes
down, the plane pitches up, and SNAP!!!  On my
Monarch, I have it halfway between the C.G. and the
L.E. (of the wing).  Works for me.  If anything, I
would go forward.
