Managed to check out two (new to me) sites on my trip down to Oakland. One was the Berkeley Marina. I mentioned that I was very familiar with that site from my long years in the kite industry, but had never really looked at it from the RC sloper perspective. It got me some airtime, I guess, but not exactly world class. No one said it would be. I also got up to the site at Meritt College twice. Once in a chunky west wind that had too much south in it. And once in a more appropriate, but VERY weak west wind. Got some airtime both times, and checked out the site enough to think it must be pretty great when it's working!
