The Airtronics RD6000 allows you to switch from one program to another in
the air by the flip of a switch. This feature allows you to try out a
modified program in the air at a safe altitude. Even more important, it
allows you to put different flight modes on each of the switchable programs,
effectively doubling the number of preset and programable mixes available.
In some ways this makes it more versitile than many radios costing two or
three times as much. If that isn't enough, it is also one of the easiest
radios to program. The only possible incompatibilities are the polarity of
the modulation which might not agree with your Hitech receivers and the
servo plugs on your older Airtronics servos. There are adapter cables to
solve the latter incompatibility.
