I have been corrected in the past but I still have the feeling that the
class should not be RES but RE then we would not have to argue about
spoilers flaps etc. Then before you start the druthers state up front
conventional layout. So now we have REC. Of course the argument is that
sometimes the spoilers are necessary to get down but I would consider that
part of the game. But when you live in moderate flatlands you do not think
like other people. Thermalling most of the time is a challenge with enough
sink to go round for everyone. Unfortunately everything has its exceptions.
But I see this as no different than a landing tape divided into inches. We
are aiming for simplicity in the craft and there you have it. Get into that
booming thermal only if you dare

Just think though: no need for excuses for two servos for flaps; no need to
argue flaps; no need to figure out dial cord; no need for the long extra
time to figure out how to put them in; no need to buy an extra servo.

Of course maybe we should push it and just say - one servo. OOPS!!!! I've
gone too far.
