I have been looking for this servo for a very long time and got to look
closely at one at a dealer just a short while ago.
What made me leave it there was
1) It is a bit difficult to mount (even with two different mounts in the
box)
2) The servo horn was strange and I am not sure it will hold up for F3X
planes. It is split and hold together by one small screw
3) The total travel is very little. If I remember right it was only 60
degrees.
4) The dealer did not recommend it ;-(
I will outfit my Supra and Pike Perfect with proven Volz instead. And driven
by a JR radio... (now that was a bit commercial... sorry ;-)
Hilsen (Regards) Jojo

Subject: Multiplex Slim Star servo?
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Hitec / Multiplex has a new servo of interest.....Glen Merritt is very
helpful....their customer service is great.....but please......some
uniformity in servo specs.....PLEASE! Website lists transit time for
only 40 degrees of travel....industry standard is 60 degrees.....torque
is usually listed for 4.8 and 6.0 volts....but they only specify on
their website the 6.0 voltage torque measured.....not good....and almost
no trouble for a company like this to list both figures....not to
mention that many more users will use a 4 cell rather than a 5 cell
pack......so do the specifications right.....PLEASE!

Man, I guess those numbers WERE too good to be true!
Nevertheless, if anyone has had experience with the Multiplex Slim Star,
I'd
love to hear your feedback.

Nice.

Those numbers on Tower's site looks like holding torque.
