I still like and fly my Sig Twister on occasion. It takes one back to their youth. my first plane was a cox pt 19 that only  broke the rubber bands on a crash. Who can not fly cl in cleveland when the world champion ( Bill W,) fly in your same club!!

Anyhow, we went to a new park in urban cleveland suburb to fly our  2M stuff , it is next to the police station!!. and the cops watched and like us. how is that for a switch. There is a 15 ft drop off from the playing fields that gives a slope rise consistently. One only has to battle with the famous Buzzards of Hinckly. and a bald eagle pair. This is next to a national park.

there are always 10 to 15 foamie guys there. Three of us show up with a Chrylsis electric and an Electric Hawk and launch them. These guys went crazy and were intrigued about the size and how high up we were. They wanted to build something like it. Several guys have a sail plane as their next project. one had bought a muliplex easy star and another was going to buy a chrylsis, which has some of the best instructions for a beginner. also a good flyer. and is made in ohio.

I see it easy hooking these newbies into our end of the segment. Sometimes these same newbies have a zagi wing and are sloping at Edgewater Park in downtown cleveland. We  were flying 60 inch moldeds and some moths. Again it is easy to up sell soaring and sloping. Its a matter of not discounting their efforts but showing interest in what they are doing. its a large pool of gupies.
