Tough pilots! Tough conditions too.  Weather was awesome, but the lift cycles were wayyy far apart for some reason. I max'd all the rounds until the last one..and in that one got crushed...and I dumb thumbed one landing for an 88...(96s on the other three).

Mike Fox found the killer air...twice, Rusty (the thermal hammer) Shaw, found the killer sink...twice too.

Mike was the big dog in DHLG and 2m...there were of a lot of his old Dominator 2m's flying and I mean FLYING..what an amazing 2m!  Its still hard to beat the old NSP Laser, and that's what Mike Fox was flying.

Save of the day was Rusty Shaw...he was down and out and limping toward the landing zone..when he hooked a violent twister that he spun up to 500' in the blink of an eye...2m T-tail Dominator.

There was some awesome flying by everyone. I had a ball timing/calling for some of the guys and the guy who flew best?  He flew a Sharon!....but his best flight of the day was timed by...ME!!!!! If only I would have known....4 points separated us!

"I could'a been a contenda" :-)

Some of the big Chi Town dogs rolling in for another day of light gusts and warm sun.

Wish you were all there!

I flew my Pike Giant, there were three Sharon X tails and all did really well.  Mike flew his Supra (but is still in the trimming, tuning stage and to be fair he was pressing the envelope trying to better learn it's capabilities versus trying to win this contest).  The Supra IS for real! Launches were crazy high.

I pity the fools haven't ordered an Xtail Sharon...if you mid level guys are looking for a plane to give you an edge to break you into consistent wood...its the Sharon.
Sure wish I'd have had it on that last flight :-(
