J,
I have actually considered one of these things, I like the looks, but there is
an issue to resolve.
I am using an (Kang) Rearwind Speedster, the wing span is 100"; the wilga is 95"
It has been my expirence that, the Wilga that you are looking at, will do fine
for anything under 1/3 scale.
My Speedster with a ZDZ 50, will pull my 26 pound Ventus2ax (5.5m) with
"Scale-Like" realism...
What this means is, that there are no 30-40 or better degreed angle climbs.
There is plenty of Power and Torque, jus not enuff wing.
There are some folks, somewhere in Germany, that make a 110-115" wing span
Wilga, which, I believe would be a far better choice. and you want to run a
Min ZDZ 080 type motor.
They used to be on Derstines site, I have no Data at this time.
Not meant to cut on your dedsire for this plane, I really wanted this one too...
I think that this one is a little small for the bigger, heaver, sailplanes.
