For what it's worth (FWIW), I used an old-style Berg 5 DSPII in my EZBD
for one of my 1-hour LSF IV flights, and I use them (old Berg 5 DSPII's)
in my DLGs, and have yet to have a problem with them. I haven't flown
the EZBD w/ a Berg in contest, but have contested many times with the
DLGs, which I figure is a pretty noisy RF environment.
Obviously, this has little to do with the "new" Berg RX's, but I
consider the DSP technology they use to be more than adequate.

But I´m intrigued about the range of this rx.
It is single conversion also.
I have used the Micro Stamp for several years without a problem.
Range has not been an issue. I recently order several more for HL and
other four channel uses.
The question is: is it a full range receiver capable to be used in a
contest RES sailplane?
IMHO Yes.
