There has been and probably always be comments on
liking and disliking 2-meters. On the normal flying day I don't fly my 2-meter.
Why?? I want a plane that has performance. Goes a long ways away and still
see it. 2-meters just can not do that as easy as unlimited ships.
My take on 2-meters is they are a big challenge to
make the target times. At contests like the Nats, Not every round is a given for
the best of pilots. This being said, I have flown the Nats with Daryl
Perkins and we both drop rounds and still be in contention for a win. In
unlimited, you drop a round and your out of it (except this year). Again to me,
making it a more or a challenge, yet not have to be perfect.
I hope 2-meter continue on, and I think they will,
Just because they are so different from the Unlimited ships. Very
Challenging!
By the way,,,,Second place was not a Duck, it was a
Laser 2MC from NSP.
2-meter this year was a blast for me. Probably more
fun than past Nats.
