Hi!

Just trying to help a fellow model builder find something that might work. I don't have plan to use any of that type of material, found here in the US or otherwise, as I prefer cloth covers like the ones we make and don't want to take the time needed to figure out how to join the silver stuff.

Happy flying,

Trust me it is not the same thing. The foil I have made here and that is made
in Europe will protect your wing to up to 800 degrees within 3" . The
bubble foil at home depot will not protect your wing from heat damage.
The Foil that Rick is talking about is NOT a foil covered bubble wrap.
But you are welcome to use what ever pleases you, as it is your plane you
want to protect not mine.
You can get the insulating material in Europe. I am the only one in the US
that carries it as it has to be custom manufactured. and at this time I have
not released the information on how it is made, and do not plan to.

All I am asking Please do not assume that the bubble foil is the same.
As always, it is always your choice on what to use. Be careful with your plane.
you spend good money to purchase it and build it. If I had the choice of
setting my plane on the grass in the heat unprotected or in that bubble foil
trust me I would have it unprotected.

I don't want to ramble so I'll get out of here. Unless you have seen
this material
You would not understand the difference.

You can get aluminum bubble wrap by the roll at Home Depot or
Lowes. Looks like it would work.
