I had CheapBatteryPacks (http://cheapbatterypacks.com) make a couple of TX packs for me last year (Nov) for my JR 8103 TX. I figure I'd give them a seasons worth of use and let you all know what happened. I used SPAA2300 cells (which they are now sold out of) and the packs they made for me fit perfectly into my TX. As with an CBP "Custom Pack" you can get them to use whatever gauge wire you want and have them attach whatever connector you need.

Cycling them a few times they came right up to 2300mah, and with that I can run my transmitter for DAYS. No more charging TX packs at a contest! I have cycled each pack a few times now, and they still charge extremely well, and I am very happy. Not bad for a $22 battery pack!

My final verdict is this: I'm very happy with CBP almost a year out.

In any case, I just custom ordered a few custom RX packs from them (4 x IB1400 cells), and they came in at $12 a piece and based on prior experience, I know they'll be good to go :)
