Joe Melchoir, (Deleware's top TD pilot) flew his Mooney in to meet up with me, I drove up from Atlantic City.

The weather is supposed to be Perfect, Joe will be flying his old Mantis wings on a new fuse and tail, replacing the one that got pulverized on the expressway last weekend.

Likely I'll fly the Perfect but haven't decided for sure yet, got the World's Heaviest Carbon Supra on charge too.

I was having some trouble programming my JR Synth RX's, just forgot the protocol, you have to have Tx ON, then power up the RX, press the program button, then quickly press it again.

THEN and only then will the LED light blink and wink at you that its been programmed to your freq.  For some reason I thought I had to press it once then wait for the blink.

Thanks to a slap on the back of the head from John D of Horizon, I'm ready to switch to which ever channel is open tomorrow.

See you guys out there.  The field is just north of Parsippany, very near Powerville, here's the instructions I got from Steve Lucke:

NJSS is having a club contest this Sunday, September 17 at our flying site at the Rockaway Athletic Fields in Boonton Township, NJ.  (The flying site used to be the old Aircraft Radio Corporation landing strip and may still be marked on maps that way.)  The flying site runs between Powerville and Rockaway Valley Rds in Boonton Township.

I'm not sure from which direction you are coming from. But if you are coming from Rt. 80 east or west look for Rt. 287 north in Parsippany.  Take Rt. 287 north to the next exit which is for Intervale Rd.  Make a left at the stop sign and go about 100 yards to a traffic light.  Make a right hand turn onto Fanny Rd.  There's a Dodge dealership right there.          Go straight on Fanny Rd and you will come to a stop sign.  Make a right turn and go about 20 feet at which point you will bear left onto Powerville Rd.  Michelangelo's Restaurant will be on your left.  You will know you missed this left turn if you go another 100 yards and see a food store on your left.  After you have beared left onto Powerville keep going on Powerville.  After about a mile or so Powerville bears right, don't bear left as that is Valley Road and will take you away from the field.  Bear right onto Powerville and go about 1/2 mile and look for a business called RFL Electronics and turn left into RFL Electronics.  There may also be sign for the Rockaway Athletic Fields at that point as well.          Turn into the driveway and drive straight though all the parking lots until you come to the far parking area in which you'll see a covered pavilion to your left.  That's where you will park
