In the interest of "fair & balanced," re. Hobby Horse, here is what I posted in April 2005:
About six years ago I placed a large order with them, including a JR 8103 radio. I asked the wife to ship the immediately available portion of the order early in a separate shipment. She agreed and assured me there would be no extra charge. When the first shipment arrived there was a $5.00 shipping charge on the invoice. I telephoned Jim about this and was met with a torrent of vitriol I still can't believe all these years later. I was a "liar," his wife had "made no such assurance," & etc. The really strange part of this - at that time, this outfit had a policy of free shipping for orders over $100. Hobby Horse?
