I'm impressed! Since mentioning that Genie plans can be viewed on line a
few days ago, 544 new hits have come in at
http://genie.rchomepage.com/. I'm heartened to think there may be a
resurgence of interest in doing some real building that will unleash the
mass creativity stifled by ARF and RTF stuff. That could help restore
this exchange to its former glory
Guys. . .the latest bagged wing ship in the Genie line, the 130" span
Smooth Genie Pro (File 12) is the one to go for whether you're died hard
competition-oriented or just love beauty and great performance. I've
built 3 and will shortly receive a set of CNC cut cores of Spyder foam
to finish up #4. Winter is on the way here and I can hardly wait for
next spring to wring it out.
As one modeler has observed; "The SGP aesthetics are dynamite". It
performs as well as it looks, too. Forget about that $2,000 moldie
import. Forget the ubiquitous pod & boomer and the limited RES to save
money. The slim, seek and curvaceous SGP does it all and can be built
for about $400, provide a liberal education in building techniques and
reignite your latent creative abilities.
**New ideas are constantly popping up to incorporate in the Genie line.
Now I know how to pre-install hard slots in the ailerons for the drive
shafts. Go to File 11, page 4 and read on. **
