Hi Mike, The Supra and Onyx are totally different planes. If its just for California conditions (AMA TD), the Onyx is fine. The Supra is a better plane if you're going to demand some degree of performance (usually not required for Calif AMA TD) and it comes at a price. If it were me, I'd seriously take a look at the Shadow. I'm not going to get into the details, but Tom Copp at Composite Specialties will tell you more about it. He's pretty sharp at explaining the attributes of various models and matching them to a pilots abilities. Worth a call if you're gonna spend that kind of money. www.f3x.com
