I'm pleased to announce that the League of Silent Flight (LSF) has again stepped up bigtime to support our US F3J soaring team!!! I just received a nice check that will help us greatly in our fund raising efforts. This is a big deal for a self sustaining non-profit group to contribute to our well being and it is GREATLY appreciated.
I'd also like to recognize a group of individual donors that handed me money at the SWC to support the team. It started off with Gordy challenging others to donate and several folks stepped up stuffing bills in my hand. I didn't get everyone's name, but thanks to Gordy, Rick Bothell, and Jack Womack and all the others that gave me small unmarked bills... :) Thanks also to all the folks that bought shirts and raffle tickets at the event... We still have a long way to go, but I am cautiously optimistic that we will reach our goals.
