USING A HI START WITH A 3 M MOLDIE When the flaps are down the airfoil is changed to a High Lift - High Drag airfoil. On a strong winch the High Lift gives a good launch since the winch can overcome the High Drag. But on a hi start there is too much drag to get to the High Lift part of the curve, so best launch is with the flaps up to have a Low Lift - Low Drag condition.
