The friend who replaced his Alpha got this charger - Thunder Power TP610C - 1 to 6-Cell LiPo and A123 cells, 14 NiCd/MH cells and 6-12V Pb, it can charge, Balance, discharge and cycle batteries and report back full data. It is capable of up to 10 amps (80 watts total) for charging. It's a charger capable of charging anything out there today.
