With talk about the wing flutter of the Sig Samurai (which is a wingeron),
has anyone experienced flutter on a fixed wing glider? I had a newly
purchased composite Renegade experienced wing flutter last weekend. The
ailerons linkages and servos (Multiplex FL BB flat wing servos) was new and
tight from what I can see. I am *almost* sure it was not the ailerons or
the MPX servos that contributed to the flutter. I was doing speed runs and
estimate my speeds at around 80 to 100 m.p.h. The noise that the wing did
when it fluttered was loud and the plane shook pretty violently with the
back end of the plane wagging back and forth. I never experienced this wing
flutter on my previous composite Renny while doing high speed runs with full
ballast.
