Do I ever need help--this time on covering. Building a DAW 1-26 hlg. I must say it looked pretty good till I started taping and covering. This is without doubt the worst looking thing I have ever built. Looks like my 7 year old granddaughter covered it. I followed directions, and taped waith 3M packing tape with thread running thru it. Plans show tape from the front of the wing to the nose running perfectly up and down. Tape angled at nose. Looks to me like I should have angled the tape as the canopy goes down, cause the tape wrinkled badly. Covered with Ultracoat as per instructions. Sides. top and bottom are halfway acceptable but the nose looks terrible. I see pix of beautiful looking foamies with round fuselages and I wonder how they do it??? Wish I could sit and watch one of the west coast slopeheads build one of these things. Hope it flies and redeemes itself. How do you guys do it???
