The fuse and tailfeathers on the BoT are shaping up nicely, now it's time to start thinking about the wings... I'm adding spoilers. On the Gentle Lady, the "barndoor" spoilers are 1"x6", extend out to about 60 degrees, and work well. "Scaling up" from 2-m to 3-m on the BoT, the dimensions are planned to be 9" x 1.5" on the BoT. Location will be behind the main spar, inboard of the polyhedral break, outboard of the stab. Actuation via short linkage with a 1:2 ratio (60 deg full open) and a HiTec HS-85 micro servo (or equiv) per spoiler. To be made of 1/16" ply, hinged with hinge tape, with particular care to ensure that they close absolutely flush with the wing surface. On the right track?
